Not only will I be sending posts that discuss my own personal attempt at losing weight, but I hope that you will share your own stories and experiences here as well. Do not expect this to be yet another place where you are condemned for eating too much or the wrong foods, not doing the right exercise, not taking diet pills, or not having surgery. It is my heartfelt belief that there is a better way. A way where you can love yourself as you work at shedding those pounds that have found their way to you.

Hi everyone! Just wanted you to know that I haven't left....My husband was electrocuted on the 4th of August. He is doing good and it is a slow healing process. He has 1st and 2nd degree burns on his right hand and 2nd and 3rd degree burns on the left hand. We are making trips back and forth to Augusta, Ga to the burn center. I will come on as much as I can but probably will not be on much. So Good Luck to all and may the weight fall off as fast as we want. Talk to you all soon.

Oh my, Kay. I'm so sorry to hear this. My husband is an electrical contractor and that has always been one of my fears. I hope he continues to progress in his recovery. Take care.

Monday weigh in: I knew when I stepped on the scales today (August 10) that it would not be lower and might be higher than last Monday. Thankfully, it was the same...230. We had a birthday party for my grandson at my home on Saturday and I ate everything. So, I'm grateful the scales did not move up.

Okay, I did my weigh in today. On July 27, I was 232. Today on Monday, August 3, I am 230. Yay!!!! Still drinking as much water as I can.

I'm now working on drinking my third glass of ice water. I even got up and "moved to the music" to part of a video. I am so glad that you can not hear me breathe right now. I did admit that I hate exercise right?

My willpower is not great, but I'm going to try to lose some weight and improve my health. I'm 62 years old, 5'8" and weigh 232 lbs. So there's my starting point. Wow, that's not easy to do. My husband doesn't even know what I weigh. Good luck everyone!

I am 44 (will turn 45 in November) and I'm only 5 feet 3 inches.. well, there may be a half inch I could add. I am SOOOO proud of you! It is hard to publically say how much you weigh. Remember, we are here for you!

I would be interested in seeing your spreadsheet. Maybe I should get a pedometer too and start trying to walk more. I keep my grandson 4 days a week so I have to work around his schedule to a certain extent, but this week my daughter is out of town and I'm keeping him through Sunday. That should work off at least a pound. He's turning 1 year old on Saturday and he's on the go.

You two are amazing. Going public with weight loss is tough. If someone had told me this time last year that not only would I be telling people I weighed 252.2 last November but putting pictures of myself online I would have told them they were crazy! You have started an incredible journey and I can tell you, it will be worth it. I'm 44, 5'5" and last November weighed 252.2 now I'm still 44, still 5'5" but on Saturday weighed in at 156.8. I'm cheering you on! Keep it up!

I plan on weighing daily, but I will "record" it on my spreadsheet on Monday. I know.. a bad day, but hey, is there really any good day?

Okay, I will only weigh on Mondays. Of course, since everyone is putting a starting point--I will go ahead and put mine as today. I am 43 years old, 5'6" and weigh 219 (6 lbs lighter than 2 weeks ago-YEA!) So my starting point will be today.
